Usborne Book Fair Coming to GPS
March 11th-March 18th 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
This is an opprotunity for students and adults to purchase books. Also, teachers don’t forget to make
a classroom book wish list. Parents can purchase books from the list for their child’s class.
There will also be a jar in the library where you may place a donation and/or requests for specific AR
tests to be downloaded. Mrs. Rachid is also looking for volunteers to help
with set up and help durning the book fair. Questions regarding AR, the Book Fair or
volunteering, please contact Mrs. Rachid @ 331-4838. The book Fair is to benefit both GPS and CIS
and parents and students from both are welcome.
Science Night - March 13, 2008
On Thursday, March 13, 2008 grades K-3 will have science activities in their classrooms from
6:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. The Book fair will also be open from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. to browse and
purchase books. Don’t miss the free ice cream social. Ice Cream will be served from 6:30 p.m. -
8:00 p.m.
B-I-N-G-O was a Great Success

Vanessa Green for coming out and volunteering your time to help make Bingo night a success, I

Honeywell Instant Alert
- This week a letter went home explaining this new communication tool for instant notification of school closings, emergencies and schedule changes. A test alert for this system will sent out on Tuesday, February 22nd. You are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to sign in online at https://instantalert.honeywell.com as a new user and maintain the accuracy of your user profile. This system is expected to be used as of January 31, 2008 for most of our school-to-home communication.

All you have to do is enjoy a lunch
or dinner at Zero’s in Camden and
drop your receipt in the GPS PTO
box. Zero’s then will donate 10%
of your meal to GPS. All proceeds
go to Grandy Primary School.
Have you ever wanted to help put a school yearbook together? Here is your chance. A committee of parents will start working on the 2007-2008 yearbook Jan. 7th @ 9:00 am at Grandy Primary School. Pictures of school events and students are needed. Please include a post-it note on the back of the picture with your name and information about the picture. NOTE: pictures cannot be returned. Spirit Friday’s
Every Friday will be Spirit Day at GPS. Please wear your
GPS or Camden attire. If you don’t have something with
GPS or Camden logos, wear something blue. Be looking for
Spring T-shirts sale beginning soon!
Parents if you haven’t sent in your Ez Fundraiser, you
still have the chance. EZ Fundraiser is one of our largest and easiest fundraiser's of the year. EZ
Fundraiser is a once a year donation to replace the
standard door-to-door sales method of fundraising.
Northeastern Community Development Corporation (NCDC)
is accepting More at Four applications for the 2008-2009
program year effective immediately. The purpose of the More
at Four Pre-Kindergarten program is to provide high-quality
educational experiences in order to enhance kindergarten
readiness for four year olds that have not had experience
socializing and learning in a group setting.
The More at Four Program is open to qualifying children
of Camden County who are eligible to enter kindergarten
in the fall of 2009. The new age eligibility requirement states
that the child must be four on or before August 31, 2008, to
make an appointment for registration, please contact
Mary Lee Wilkerson, More at Four Director,
at 338-5466, ext. 20.

Presents Semi-Annual Prime Rib Dinner
